Car hire questions for Petrovac

Check the selected offer for the definitive list. You should have the main driver's original driving licence, the required passport or identity card and the payment card named in the conditions. Check that the booking and document names agree before travelling to the collection point.

That depends on where your licence was issued and the supplier's policy. A document not written in the Latin alphabet may need to be presented with an International Driving Permit or an official translation. Obtain a definite answer from the chosen supplier before making payment.

Treat the original physical licence as necessary unless the supplier confirms otherwise in writing. If you can only show a digital version, contact the company before you book and keep its reply. Arriving without an accepted document may prevent the handover.

The minimum age and required driving experience are shown in the selected vehicle’s Rental terms. Check those requirements for every additional driver before booking, too.

Not if most days are spent around the town beach, promenade, waterfront and Kastio. It is more useful for outings to Buljarica, Reževići and Sveti Stefan or for a fuller day towards Budva, Bar or Virpazar. Limiting the booking to those outings can be more sensible than leaving a car parked throughout the holiday.

Select an additional driver before confirming the booking. Their price enters the total quote, and they must meet the age, experience and document rules for the vehicle.

Choose your preferred transmission in the catalogue and compare currently available cars. Confirm the same specification on the vehicle detail page before booking.

For winter or mountain driving, check required equipment and what the selected car includes. Request chains or other needed items before booking.

Check whether the selected offer guarantees the displayed model or states “this model or similar”. Compare the transmission, seats, luggage capacity and other guaranteed features. Review the terms of any proposed replacement before accepting it.

Select a child seat from the extras available with the vehicle. Its price enters the total quote when selected; check the type and condition at collection.

Choose an SUV for the number of passengers, luggage and actual route, not merely the destination name. A smaller car that fits your group may be easier for city driving.

The total price includes the car hire, selected insurance package, selected extras and all mandatory fees shown in the price breakdown. The advance payment is part of the total. The security deposit is shown separately.

The security deposit amount is shown with the selected vehicle. If the deposit method, accepted card type or cardholder requirement is not listed, ask support to confirm it before booking. Payment methods accepted by the partner do not by themselves establish how the deposit is paid.

Compare total prices for the same dates, locations and selected services. Then compare the security deposit, mileage allowance and any stated excess-mileage rate separately. The daily price alone does not show which offer best fits your trip.

Check the payment methods shown for the partner and the options available for the online advance payment. If card requirements or another deposit method are not listed, confirm them with support before booking. A cards-accepted label does not confirm that every type of card is accepted.

A no-deposit offer, when available for your dates, is clearly marked on the vehicle. Compare its total price and insurance package rather than assuming every car can be booked without a deposit.

Check the exact deposit amount for the selected vehicle and insurance package. It is shown separately from the total rental price. If the amount is missing, ask for it before booking.

The refund method and timing depend on the confirmed terms and how the deposit was paid. Ask for these details before booking if they are not listed. Keep the vehicle inspection and deposit return confirmation; releasing a card hold also depends on the bank.

The price breakdown separates the advance payment, remaining balance and security deposit. Payment methods labelled as accepted by the partner apply to payment to that partner. Check the available options at online payment; if the deposit method is not listed, confirm it with support before booking.

Montenegro uses the euro. Check the currency of the final breakdown and the payment methods accepted for the car. The confirmed offer price does not change afterwards.

Search your preferred dates and compare current offers for the full period. Total and daily prices depend on the duration, vehicle and selected terms; a longer hire does not guarantee a lower daily rate.

The price depends on your dates, car and selected terms. The offer shows real daily and total amounts including all mandatory charges; the security deposit is separate.

Compare total prices for the same dates and chosen services, then check deposits, mileage, fuel and excess. A security deposit is not an extra hire charge.

Contact support before collection to request a change; availability and any revised quote must be confirmed. If you cancel, the advance payment is not refunded, and the remaining balance is not charged.

Check the dates, times, addresses, vehicle or guaranteed category, selected services, total price, advance payment, balance and deposit. Contact support before pickup if the confirmation differs from the offer you selected.

If you expect to miss the agreed return time, inform the provider immediately. The vehicle’s Rental terms explain the procedure and consequences of an actual delay; agree on a new time before the hire expires.

A late-return charge applies only if you actually return the car beyond the agreed time under the selected offer’s rules. Check any grace period and calculation method before collection.

Enter your collection and return times in the search. If an out-of-hours handover is available, its terms and any mandatory charge are shown before booking and included in the total price.

Handover time depends on document checks and the vehicle inspection. Have your confirmation, licence and identity document ready, and allow time to inspect the car before driving.

As soon as you know about the delay, tell the provider your flight number and new arrival time. Confirm the meeting place and collection time before leaving the airport.

Before crossing the border, ask the partner to approve the new country and provide the required documents. If your change requires different cover or a fee, confirm the new total before the booking is changed. Existing permission does not automatically extend to other countries.

Permission to drive into neighbouring countries depends on the selected vehicle’s terms. List each planned country and obtain approval and documents before departure.

Check the selected vehicle’s Hire rules to see whether your intended ferry is allowed and whether cover applies there. You pay the ferry fare separately during your trip.

Tolls and ferry tickets arise only if you choose a route that uses them; they are not part of the car hire price. Check charges on your planned route and keep receipts.

The precise fuel policy is shown with the selected vehicle. Record the fuel level at collection and return the car according to that policy.

Yes. Keep the last fuel receipt until the return inspection is complete. It may help confirm that you refuelled in line with the selected vehicle’s fuel policy.

Find a suitable fuel station on your return route and allow time to refuel. Check whether your vehicle uses petrol or diesel, then return it in line with the fuel policy shown in the offer.

Check the mileage allowance and any excess-mileage rate on the individual vehicle. For a long trip, compare limited and unlimited-mileage offers against your actual route.

The selected vehicle’s terms distinguish normal use from excessive dirt requiring special cleaning. Record the car’s condition at collection and return, and check its cleaning rules before driving.

The driver is responsible for traffic and parking fines incurred during the rental. Follow local signs and keep proof of payment if you receive a fine.

The excess is the amount of liability defined by the selected package and its cover. Check the exclusions and claims procedure. If the excess amount is not stated, ask before booking; do not infer it from the displayed security deposit.

Compare the included and optional insurance packages for the same vehicle, including their cover and exclusions. If the excess amount is not stated, ask support before booking. The selected package price is included in the total.

Check whether the offer lists roadside assistance and its terms. If the information or contact number is missing, ask support before booking. Save the confirmed assistance number before driving.

If you have your own or card-based insurance, check that it covers a hire in Montenegro. It does not replace the provider’s deposit and liability terms.

First check that everyone is safe, then call the police when needed and notify the hire provider immediately. Take photos, follow their instructions and keep any official report.
