01By the lake and indoors
Walking, play and boating at Black Lake

The walk along Black Lake follows the wooded shore, with open views toward Medjed. The educational trail has information boards and places to rest, with a children's playground on the approach to the lake. Black Lake's two basins, Veliko Jezero and Malo Jezero, are linked by a narrow strait whose appearance changes with the water level.
Boats and kayaks can be rented from the park ranger at the lake, so you can spend part of the outing rowing or paddling. Check rental availability and suitable equipment for children at the lake. Black Lake on Google Maps.
Bowling and table tennis at the Sports Center

At Zabljak Sports Center, your family can bowl on one of four lanes. The same complex has a table-tennis area, so an indoor visit can include both games. There is also a bar beside the bowling area for a break between games.

03Guided outings on the plateau and river
A one-hour horse ride on Jezerska visoravan

The Jezerska visoravan tour with Durmitor Adventure takes riders through the meadows of the Durmitor area. The program lasts one hour and is also suitable for beginners. An instructor accompanies riders throughout.
This activity is not recommended for children under 6, and the maximum rider weight is 110 kg. Arrange a time and the exact meeting point for the one-hour horse ride. Montenegro Horse Riding center on Google Maps.
Rafting through the Tara Canyon and under the bridge

Tara Kula Raft's shorter trip covers 14 km of river through the canyon, passes beneath Djurdjevica Tara Bridge and ends at Zugica Luka. The program also includes a stop at Ljutica. Your family paddles with a guide, and the rafting equipment is provided.
Allow for transport from Zabljak to the river and back as part of this outing. Children's participation depends on their age, the water level and equipment that fits, so confirm the conditions for your child before booking the shorter Tara rafting trip. Questions about family outings in Zabljak
What can we do with children when the weather is unsuitable for outdoor activities?
You can go bowling and play table tennis indoors at the Sports Center. Book an available bowling lane and, if you are visiting with a young child, check what equipment is available and whether it suits them.
Are horse riding and rafting also options for children under six?
The one-hour horse ride selected here is not recommended for children under six. For rafting, there is no single age limit that applies at every water level: tell the operator your child's age and planned visit date so they can assess participation in the specific program.
Does the rafting marker on the map show the boarding point?
The marker shows Tara Kula Raft's base near Djurdjevica Tara Bridge. The meeting point, river transfer and boarding are arranged with the operator, and the base is not shown as the starting point of the descent.
