01Walking along the town waterfront
A waterfront walk with a break by the sea

Walk along the waterfront beside the town beach, with houses and outdoor terraces on one side and the sea and islands on the other. At the western end of the shore, the walk takes you towards the harbour and Kastio's walls. Pause by the boats and look across the bay, then continue with a drink or a meal by the water.
For a shorter outing, choose a stretch of the promenade near your accommodation. For a longer walk, carry on to the harbour and return along the same waterfront. The time you need depends on the stretch you walk and your breaks, so you can fit the walk in before or after swimming. Our guide to where to eat in Petrovac provides addresses and meal recommendations if you would like to extend your outing. Petrovac waterfront, coastal area on Google Maps.
02Swimming in two different bays
Swimming at Lucice or Buljarica

Lucice is a choice for swimming close to Petrovac, in a smaller bay between two headlands, with pines and cypresses behind the beach. You can walk there from town, swim and allow time to rest before returning. To keep your beach outing close to your accommodation in Petrovac, Lucice is easier to combine with a waterfront walk than a trip further along the coast.
At Buljarica, you can combine swimming with a longer walk along the beach. The shore continues towards Bar, giving you more space to walk between breaks by the water. The Budva Tourist Organisation describes the part nearer Petrovac as sandier, while most of the beach is gravel and stone. Choose where to swim according to the surface you find comfortable for entering the sea.
Arrange your journey to Buljarica and back separately, as time on the beach is only part of the whole outing from Petrovac. How long you spend swimming and resting is up to you. For space without hiring sun loungers and information on water quality, see the answers below, which clarify those two questions before you go to the beach. Lucice, beach area on Google Maps. Buljarica, western shoreline on Google Maps.
03An exhibition outing in Petrovac
An exhibition visit at Crvena Komuna

At the Marko Krstov Gregovic Gallery in the Crvena Komuna Memorial House on the waterfront, you can visit a temporary art exhibition. The programme uses three gallery spaces, and announced exhibitions include painting, printmaking and sculpture. Look at the exhibition announcements for your stay to choose an artist or technique that interests you, then spend your visit viewing the works.
One dated example is Milo-Mico Vukovic's exhibition, announced for September and part of October 2026, with eighteen large oil paintings on canvas. The exact end date was not published, so confirm which exhibition is open during your stay and its visiting hours. The gallery is on the town waterfront, so you can combine a visit with a walk along the promenade. Crvena Komuna and gallery, building on Google Maps.
