01The Old Town, museum and coastal walks
A walk through the Old Town

A walk through the Old Town takes you along narrow stone streets, past houses, small squares and churches within the medieval walls. Cafes, restaurants and small shops line the streets, so you can combine a family visit with a meal in one of the squares or a stop at the museum.
For a walk on the walls, see how to access the city walls. View on map.
Artefacts at Budva City Museum

Budva City Museum displays objects found during excavations, including vases, clay and glass tableware, jewellery and tools. Gold earrings and a brooch depicting an eagle carrying a boy connect these finds to the ancient myth of Zeus and Ganymede. The permanent archaeological exhibition covers different periods, from the 5th century BC to the Middle Ages.
Alongside it is an ethnographic collection of local objects from the 18th to the early 20th century. On the ground floor, the stone collection includes monuments and decorative stonework. More about Budva City Museum. View on map.
A walk along Slovenska Beach

From the marina towards Zavala, the promenade follows Slovenska Beach, which is about 1,600 metres long. Cafes and restaurants line this city waterfront, so you can combine a walk with swimming and a meal without travelling to another part of the Riviera. For a longer outing, the coastal path continues towards Becici via Zavala and the tunnel.
Mogren: a coastal path and two beaches

A 350-metre concrete path between the sea and the rocks leads from Hotel Avala to Mogren. Beyond the path are two beaches connected by a tunnel, beneath high cliffs and Mediterranean greenery. A family outing here combines a coastal walk with swimming, while outside the swimming season you can still walk here from the Old Town.
Avoid the approach path when southerly winds and strong waves affect the coast. More about Mogren. View on map.
02Becici Beach and Milocer Park
Swimming and walking from Becici towards Rafailovici

Becici Beach stretches for about two kilometres, with a promenade continuing towards Rafailovici. The sand is multicoloured, and hotels and restaurants line the shore, so you can combine swimming with a walk and lunch by the sea.
The beach is divided into hotel and public bathing areas, so check the conditions for using the section you choose. View on map · Rafailovici on the map.
A walk through Milocer Park

Milocer Park, in the Sveti Stefan area, offers a walk through gardens by the sea. The gardens surround the former royal summer residence behind King's and Queen's beaches, with Lebanese cedars, eucalyptus and mimosa among the Mediterranean plants.
Access to the neighbouring beaches and Sveti Stefan island has separate conditions, which you should check if you want to include them in your outing. More about the Sveti Stefan and Milocer area. View on map.
03Indoor play and seasonal pools
Twins Land: indoor play at Mega Mall

At Twins Land in Mega Mall, children can climb through a netted play structure and make their way between hanging obstacles. Next to the children's area is a cafe for parents. The indoor play area is in the mall on Zrtava fasizma Street.
Before visiting, contact Twins Land at Mega Mall to check the rules for your child's age and whether parents need to stay. View on map.
Seasonal pools and slides at Mediteran

The water park at Hotel Mediteran in Becici has seven pools and ten slides, with some pools intended for the youngest children. The pools are set among palm trees. The water park operates seasonally in summer.
If you are not staying at the hotel, ask reception whether you can use the water park and on what terms before planning a visit. Also check the age restrictions and rules for using the slides. Hotel Mediteran reception: +382 33 689 000. View on map.
04Riviera boat trip and cave excursion
A boat trip around Sveti Nikola and along the Budva Riviera

Greben's four-hour private boat trip leaves Budva and passes the Old Town and Mogren cliffs, then Sveti Nikola island and Sveti Stefan. The programme includes swimming stops, one of them in the Calypso Cave area. The boat also reaches wild beaches behind the island that are accessed from the sea.
On this trip, you see Sveti Nikola from the sea, without a walk on the island. When booking, give the children's ages and confirm the swimming conditions, suitable life jackets and the exact departure pier. Children must wear life jackets, and departure depends on the weather.

An excursion to Lipa Cave near Cetinje

The visit to Lipa Cave near Cetinje begins with a small train ride from the visitor reception area to the entrance. A guide then leads you along a prepared path through underground chambers, among stalactites, stalagmites and other cave formations. The tour, including the train ride to the cave and back, takes 60 minutes.
The cave is cold, so warm clothing and comfortable shoes are needed. Pushchairs are not allowed inside, but a baby carrier is permitted. The drive from Budva and arrival before your tour are additional to the programme duration, so check Lipa Cave tour times before setting out. View on map.
