01
A walk and two different museum visits

Walking and playing in Njegosev Park

The gate and greenery of Njegosev Park in Cetinje

In Njegosev Park, you can take a family walk through the greenery of Cetinje's historic centre. The former palace park also has a children's playground by the tennis court, so you can follow your walk with time to play. Njegosev Park in Cetinje on Google Maps.

Coins, jewellery and a coin press at the Money Museum

The facade of the Money Museum building in Cetinje

The Money Museum on Njegoseva Street displays coins and banknotes used in Montenegro. These include the perper, while the permanent exhibition "Money as Jewellery" shows how coins were worn as jewellery. The museum occupies the former Montenegrin Bank building, with exhibitions in the former banking halls and vault.

One distinctive exhibit is an old, working coin press used to make souvenir perpers. Check visiting hours with the Money Museum. Money Museum on Google Maps.

Montenegro's relief map and the billiard table at Biljarda

Part of the large relief map of Montenegro at Biljarda

In the courtyard of Biljarda, a large relief map of Montenegro shows mountains, basins and the coast in three dimensions. This visit suits families interested in maps and the landscapes they travel through. In the same museum complex, you can see the billiard table that gave Biljarda its name, along with Njegos's personal belongings, books and manuscripts.

The relief map is open seasonally, so check visiting hours for Biljarda's museum rooms separately. Biljarda and the relief map on Google Maps.

A cave and obstacle courses among the trees

A train ride and walk at Lipa Cave

Cave formations in an illuminated chamber at Lipa Cave

A visit to Lipa Cave starts with a tourist train ride from the car park to the cave entrance. You then follow a guide along an illuminated path through the main passage and underground galleries, among the cave formations. The Cave Experience tour lasts 60 minutes, including the train ride in both directions.

The cave stays cool even on warm days, so a light jacket is useful in summer too. Pushchairs are not allowed, but you can use a baby carrier. Choose one of the scheduled departures for the Lipa Cave tour. Lipa Cave visitor complex on Google Maps.

Obstacle courses among the trees at Ivanova Korita

Obstacles among the trees at Lovcen Adventure Park

At Lovcen Adventure Park in Ivanova Korita, you tackle obstacles on courses linking platforms among the trees. The courses are marked by colour and vary in difficulty, with beginner courses available for children too. Equipment and an introductory briefing are part of the activity.

The park operates seasonally, and rain or strong winds can interrupt use of the courses. For the courses at Lovcen Adventure Park, arrange a time and a course suited to your child's age. Lovcen Adventure Park on Google Maps.

The Crnojevica River canyon seen from a boat

From Rijeka Crnojevica, you can take a private boat trip through the river canyon, with views of the slopes rising above the water. The shorter Canyon Tour with Boat Cruising Vasilije lasts 30 minutes and takes a private group of up to 8 people. The boat has a canopy, and life jackets are part of the equipment on board.

The departure area is by the old stone bridge in Rijeka Crnojevica. For the short canyon boat trip, confirm the exact boarding point and a life jacket in the right size for your child. The journey from Cetinje and back is separate from the boat trip, and departures depend on the weather. Boat Cruising Vasilije in Rijeka Crnojevica on Google Maps.
