01Old Town and marina
For the marina, choose Jat on Mediteranska Street. The walking route from its location to the marina follows Slovenska obala and is about 300 metres long. If Jat is full, Zetafilm and Eksponat are other options on this stretch of Mediteranska.
The section of Mediteranska from Lovcenska Street to Jat is in zone I, where regular parking is limited to one hour. At Jat, distinguish the separate car park from the street spaces.
Check the car park's price list at the entrance. You are charged for each hour or part of an hour, so keep your entry ticket and pay for parking before leaving.
02Budva town centre and Mediteranska Street
If you are going to TQ Plaza, choose TQ Plaza parking on 22. Novembra Street. If it is full, City on Mediteranska is an alternative, marked on the map as Parking by Hotel WOW.
13. Jula Street is in zone II, where regular parking is limited to three hours. These rules apply to street spaces, separately from the parking facilities listed above.
For TQ Plaza and City, check the price list at the entrance. The zone II street parking rate does not determine the price at these facilities.
03Slovenska Beach
If walking to Slovenska Beach suits you, choose Bracera on Mediteranska. The route to the Slovenska Beach destination marked on the map follows Slovenska obala and is about 800 metres long. If Bracera is full, Posta 2 at Mediteranska 5 is an alternative.
The street section of Mediteranska marked Bracera is in zone II. Regular parking in those street spaces is limited to three hours.
Check the prices for the Bracera and Posta 2 car parks at their entrances. Their charges are separate from street parking zone II.
Street zones and payment
| Zone | Per hour or part of an hour - summer / winter | Usual on-street maximum stay | SMS for one hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| I - purple | €2.00 / €1.50 | 1 hour | 14651 |
| II - red | €1.50 / €1.00 | 3 hours | 14652 |
| III - yellow | €1.00 / €0.80 | No time limit | 14653 |
On-street parking charges apply from 7 am until midnight every day. Summer rates apply from 1 May to 30 September, and winter rates from 1 October to 30 April. Garages and barrier-controlled car parks operate their own access arrangements.
For SMS payment, type the vehicle registration number without spaces or other characters, then send it to the zone number shown in the table. Each message purchases one hour. Check the reply for confirmation of payment. If you receive no confirmation or a failed-payment message, call Parking servis on 067 028 649 for instructions.
You can purchase another hour before the current one expires if the zone still allows more time. At the maximum stay, remove the car: the limit is one hour in Zone I and three hours in Zone II. Zone III has no time limit.
You can pay daily parking tickets and notices in cash or by card at the Parking Service office on Mediteranska, on the third floor of TQ Plaza. Customer hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm, with a break from 11 am to 11:30 am.
Day ticket
A day ticket in Zone III costs €10.00 in summer and €5.00 in winter and is valid for 24 hours. The hourly SMS numbers in this table buy one hour. To buy a day ticket, send your vehicle registration number without spaces or other characters to 14654. It is not valid in Zones I and II, garages or barrier-controlled car parks.
Seasonal hourly rates for street parking
From 1 May to 30 SeptemberFrom 1 October to 30 April
In zone III, seven one-hour payments in winter cost €5.60, while a 24-hour daily ticket costs €5. In summer, ten one-hour payments cost the same as the daily ticket, €10. This comparison applies to street parking zone III, not to car parks with barriers or garages.
Parking charges, penalty notices and vehicle towing
The daily parking notice issued by Parking servis is separate from a traffic penalty notice. The charge is €50 and the notice is valid for 24 hours. If you pay within eight days of issue, the amount is €33.33. Follow the instructions on the notice.
The statutory fine for prohibited parking or obstructing traffic is €100-€300. A penalty notice specifies the minimum sum in this range. This fine is distinct from the parking charge for an unpaid street-zone ticket.
Paying a penalty notice
Under the usual procedure, accepting responsibility allows payment of half the fine within eight days of accepting the notice. For a €100 notice, the reduced amount is €50.
There is an exception for someone with no permanent or temporary residence in Montenegro, or someone leaving the country, if the competent authority reasonably suspects that enforcement will be evaded. In those circumstances, two-thirds of the fine is payable without delay. Follow the sum and payment details on the notice issued to you.
If you cannot find the car, check with Parking servis Budva whether it has been towed. Vehicles are taken to the car park by the Red Cross, Filipa Kovacevica. Before going there, call 033 402 492 to confirm where the car is and ask for collection instructions.

Frequently asked questions about parking in Budva
Does every car park with a barrier accept both cash and cards?
Payment methods depend on the car park. Being able to pay in cash or by card at the Parking Service office does not mean both options are available at the exit of every facility.
Does a car park that is open 24 hours have one price for the whole day?
Parking Service Budva's barrier car parks and public garages are open 24 hours a day throughout the year. Those are their opening hours, not the price for a full day's parking. At a car park with a barrier, you are charged for each hour or part of an hour.
What should I ask my accommodation if I am arriving by car?
Ask for the exact parking location and check whether the space is included in the accommodation price or charged separately. Also ask whether you need to reserve it, how to reach it and whether you can use it throughout your stay.
