Where to park in Zabljak

In Zabljak, the municipal garage, marked street spaces and the car park at Crno Jezero have separate price lists. The red zone's winter rate applies to outdoor town car parks, so it does not set the price of a stay in the garage or by the lake.

Fines and towing

Parking charges, penalty notices and vehicle towing

Parking or stopping where prohibited€100 per penalty notice

The statutory fine for prohibited parking or obstructing traffic is €100-€300. A penalty notice specifies the minimum sum in this range. This fine is distinct from the parking charge for an unpaid street-zone ticket.

Paying a penalty notice

Under the usual procedure, accepting responsibility allows payment of half the fine within eight days of accepting the notice. For a €100 notice, the reduced amount is €50.

There is an exception for someone with no permanent or temporary residence in Montenegro, or someone leaving the country, if the competent authority reasonably suspects that enforcement will be evaded. In those circumstances, two-thirds of the fine is payable without delay. Follow the sum and payment details on the notice issued to you.

If your car is missing from where you left it, contact Parking servis Zabljak on +382 67 027 106. Ask which service is responsible and where the vehicle is before going to collect it.

Does a red-zone day ticket last until midnight?

The published winter table gives the regular day ticket a validity of 24 hours from purchase. Its validity is therefore measured from the time you buy it, rather than ending at midnight.

Is the €15 additional parking charge the same as a day ticket?

No. The published winter table separates the regular €4 day ticket from the €15 additional parking charge. The additional charge is listed as a product lasting 24 hours from issue. That alone does not establish a payment deadline. Contact Parking servis about the amount and procedure on the specific charge.

Are there designated spaces for people with disabilities?

The published Parking servis programme lists 14 such spaces: seven in street car parks, six in the municipal garage and one outside Hotel Zabljak. This information concerns parking spaces and does not confirm accessibility of the path towards Crno Jezero.
